2008 Anthology of Younger Poets

from Outside Voices press. I submitted a couple weeks ago. I got confused because the author listings on the blog usually ended with a congratulations from Chief Editor, Jessica Smith; though the ones from the last three months (i'm listed under 'November') didn't. It gave the impression that they were no longer accepted author lists, but merely lists of submitters. Which would be odd, as people generally wouldn't want anyone knowing they were rejected unless they chose to mention it themselves (personally, i don't mind).

So, i sent an e-mail, asking if being listed meant my work had been accepted. I haven't received a reply, though i've since been added to the 'featured authors' section in the sidebar. This would indicate that i have had work accepted, but i haven't received any such notification -- which confuses me even more.

All seems an odd way of doing things. . . .

Anyway, it's a great project, and there's many great writers on board; so head on down, take a look around, and submit. The editors interpret 'young' as 20-40 years of age.

11/12/06: Following my confusion, there's now an explanatory note on the site, here.
